This organization provides opportunities for our students to experience leadership roles. |

During the first few weeks of school, elections are held in grades 1 through 5 to select two representatives from each class. The students selected in grades 3 through 5 may campaign for president, secretary, and treasurer; an election is then held to select these officers. This group of representatives and officers meet twice monthly during the lunch hour.
Student Council members are responsible for designating chapel offerings and helping plan special activities for the student body throughout the year. They also suggest the theme days for Lutheran Schools Week, provide treats for various activities, host small fund-raisers, such as popcorn sales on Spirit Days and perhaps plan a used book sale to help fund an activity for the school. Members may also help with mentoring fellow students especially with student conflict situations where appropriate. Ms. Asplin and Ms. Becken meet with the group and help in facilitation of the program. |
